The National Maconite Scholarship Organization was founded over 50 years ago by visionary leaders who believed that every motivated student deserves the opportunity to pursue education beyond high school. Moreover, they deserved this opportunity regardless of race, sex, and financial circumstances. For more than five decades, the National Organization and its six local chapters, Chicago, Detroit, Erie, Macon, Nashville, and St. Louis have awarded scholarships supporting students and their pursuit of higher-learning. Our organization's awarded financial support covers tuition, room and board, and essential educational tools such as books, lab fees, and travel. Through the dedication of our families, friends, patrons, and community partners, we've continued and strengthened our mission and vision by expanding access, uplifting students, and investing in the next generation of leaders for over half a century.
